Newspapers Alive and Well in Technology World

Posted: Updated:

With technology continuing to advance every day, there has been talk of newspapers becoming obsolete.

But one woman tells us this isn't necessarily the case.

Teri Finneman says this idea has been around for a long time...

But newspapers are still doing fine.

She says they just need to learn to adapt with the changing times.

Finneman held a seminar today to give those who work for newspapers ideas on how to be successful in the future.

"With social media and blogging and all of that, people want to be a part of the conversation now. They don't want to be just talked to, they want to be part of what's going on and so we're going to talk about how community newspapers can involve the community much more in their reporting," Teri Finneman, Multimedia Instructor.

Finneman will also be speaking on this topic at the National Newspaper Association Conference in September.
