U.S. Issues Travel Alert

Posted: Updated:

The recent terrorism threats have caused increased security nation-wide at all its major airports, train stations, and railway stations.

A global travel alert has been issued with concern that Al-Qaida may target the United States.

We wanted to hear from those flying during this threat on whether they're concerned and if the security checks seemed heightened.

"We just came from Nashville, we had a real good trip. Everything was on time and you know the crowd seemed to be very content."

"And then I don't mind those security checks, I think that's great."

"I'm a consultant so I don't really have a choice, I have to travel so it's just a good thing to be aware of I guess but no it doesn't affect me personally yet thank goodness."

"I might have noticed a couple extra, I don't know, maybe some extra police inside the terminal in Kansas City but I don't know that that was anything out of the ordinary."

"I just came back from Hawaii and, I don't know, they said a few things about it on the news and stuff but really never made a big deal of it so I guess I never even thought about it."

Texas Republican Representative Michael McCaul says these terrorism threats are "the most specific and credible" since 9/11.
