Minot Child Granted Magical Wish

Posted: Updated:

Last evening the red carpet was rolled out for one Minot child's wish to come true.

Allegiant Airlines partnered with Make-A-Wish to send thirteen-year-old Hailey Wheeler off on a trip with her family.

Wheeler suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

She was unexpectedly nominated by her aunt for Make-A-Wish--a foundation that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

It was just one week ago when she learned that her wish would come true.

Last evening Wheeler and her family lifted off from the Minot airport and flew to Las Vegas.

The final stop is San Diego where they will visit Sea World and Disneyland.

Wheeler says she has never taken a trip quite like this one before.

(Hailey Wheeler, Minot Make-A-Wish Recipient)"I've never really been on an airplane before or traveled this far across to different places so it's definitely different."
