Exotic Pet Sale

Exotic Pet Sale

Posted: Updated:

Dogs, cats and goldfish are what many would call a typical pet and can be found at most pet stores.

But for those who want a pet a little more exotic, maybe a miniature horse, you have to look a bit harder

Alternative Livestock Auction sells unordinary animals as pets.

Llamas, donkeys, pot belly pigs and peacocks are only some of the different types of exotic animals on sale to the public.

The auction began four years ago and the auction takes place twice a year.

One of the creators of the auction says the day caters to not only farmers but those who have an interesting hobby.

Whether you are buying an animal or not, the auction is a fun atmosphere to be around.

(Dennis Erickson, Sales Manager, Exotic Pet Sale) "It seems like it's growing every year and I guess it's not really surprising. We used to attend these sales way back, my wife and I and my brother, and we always look at different ways to improve the sale. So we have done some improvements with the sale. We have asked the people what they think, they love it and they keep coming back to the sale. The parking lot is full of trailers, people are having a hay-day."
