Downtown Festival

Downtown Festival

Posted: Updated:

Main Street has something going on for everyone right now, because today is the annual Downtown Street Festival.

Venders from all over the state filled the street today with businesses, bands, dancers and more.

During the day, kids jumped in bouncy castles, got their faces painted, and adults shopped and sang karaoke.

And along with all that, there was plenty of food and live bands for entertainment.

The president of the Downtown Business Association says that this year has been the biggest turnout yet, and there's something returning this year that hasn't in a long time - a street dance.

The goal for this downtown party is to celebrate all the parts of our community coming together during the summer months.

(Clyde Thorne, President, Downtown Business Association) "Just to see people smiling, that's really great. And then, of course, you see all these kids running up and down, that's what it's all about. Have some fun with the family."

The street dance tonight will begin at 7 and goes until midnight.

To get involved with the street festival next year, contact the Downtown Business Professionals Association.
