Artspace Includes Tribal Artists

Posted: Updated:

Artspace in Minot is nearly complete and that is good news for many artists around the area.

Native American artisans in Minot received additional good news earlier this week in the form of a grant.

Artspace received a grant worth over 97-thousand dollars to provide technical assistance to Native American artisan businesses and entrepreneurs.

Artspace will provide and 1,100 square foot-are in the building dedicated to Native American Art for training, workshops, and gallery space.

Terri Aldrich believes the Native American exhibit will open doors for many artists.

(Terri Aldrich, Committee Member, Artspace Minot) "The Native American Gallery will be inclusive of the native peoples and will provide for them an opportunity to exhibit their work to provide space for them to display art work but also to sell artwork. so it will open the door for people from other areas to come see the artwork."
