CDBG Proposal Has Errors

Posted: Updated:

A proposal from the city of Minot for how it intends to spend 35-million dollars in federal flood recovery funds includes some erroneous information about homes that might be bought out by the city.

Finance Director Cindy Hemphill says a map showing dozens of properties labeled as "parcels identified for buyout" was not supposed to be in the proposal for Community Development Block Grant funds.

The map was an outdated, unused document that was included in the proposal by accident.

She says a corrected map will be inserted by the time the city council votes on the proposal this Thursday.

You can see the corrected map at the city's website, or by stopping at the city offices.
