Christ the King School Welcomes Academy

Posted:

Christ the King School of Mandan is making a new change for its sixth through eighth grade classes.

An inauguration was held this morning to introduce the Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy.

Christ the King School holds students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The parish and school feel the older students need to be recognized.

They believe this new academy will give age appropriate respect and integrity to the sixth through eighth graders.

Father Johnson says they are also planning to introduce different things to strengthen their thinking level.

"That will change their character. That's what I was telling them. You be the role model for everybody because academy, when you belong to an academy, that raises your standard of thinking, standard of education, standard of behavior, and standard of personality itself," says Father Johnson, Christ the King Church.

Christ the King School also added a commons area specifically for the new academy students.
