At Williston State College, the school year is not the only thing 'new.'
WSC is adding curriculum that compliments oil activity in the area.
Enrollment Coordinator Leah Windnagle says the first day enrollment head count was up two percent and full time enrollment numbers have increased dramatically.
She says numbers are typically high in nursing, but the Petroleum Production Technology program is growing quickly.
(Dr. Raymond Nadolny, Williston State College President) "I really do believe that we are probably the truck capitol of the world, in terms of everything that's going on. And they have to be maintained, repaired. Having the opportunity to expand that kind of training, bringing in people from all over the country with high skills, high experience. It's all very exciting for the college."
A number of physical improvements have taken place on campus over the summer.
We'll have more on that later this week.
