The Bismarck High Demons kick off Friday night, they defend two straight state titles, and a 17 game win streak.
Game one will be against maybe the best team from the East-Red River.
Red River has won the EDC two straight seasons, and have a ton of returners this season.
But Bismarck High has tradition, and they've also got depth.
Only one player will start on both sides of the ball, and that's Kole Bauer at tailback and free safety.
With the temperature expected to reach the 90's that depth will prove important.
Instead of relying mainly on the run game, Gibson says its important that the Demons mix in their pass game.
They are still trying to figure out who their main receivers will be, so the game will be a good opportunity for players to make adjustments and earn their spot.
But that won't be the only big changes that BHS will face.
