Bomb squad members were called out to Hebron Tuesday to detonate a pipe bomb found near town.
Morton County Sheriff Dave Shipman says a woman approached one of his deputies Tuesday around 11am.
She said she had found a homemade pipe bomb on the Hebron city limits.
The device looked like it had already been detonated, but the deputy drove it away from town.
Two bomb squad technicians were called in to detonate the pipe bomb as a precaution Tuesday afternoon.
Shipman described the pipe bomb as being five to six inches long and 3/4" in diameter.
He says it had PVC on one end and metal on the other. One end appeared to have already been burned when it was found.
