Girls Donate to Locks of Love

Posted: Updated:

"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love."

The Stein sisters took Mother Teresa's words to heart --- inspired by their OWN mother.

--- inspired by their OWN mother.

Sydney, Mya and Piper donated three ponytails of long blonde hair to Locks of Love.

They are the daughters of Craig and Joanne Stein.

Joanne finished treatment for breast cancer in December of 2012.

Joanne says when she lost her hair during the chemo treatments, she and her family made the best of it, threw a party, and the girls helped shave Joanne's hair.

Their mother is now recovering from treatment and she says she's feeling well.

After going through the experience together, the girls decided to do something MORE together.

(Mya Stein, Locks of Love) "My mom had cancer. These little kids are loosing their hair, they should get some."

"When Mya came up with the idea of Locks of Love, what did you think?"

(Piper Stein, Locks of Love) "I thought, if she's doing it, maybe I wanted to, too."

(Sydney Stein, Locks of Love) "We were able to do pretty much everything together, as sisters."

All three girls say they would not mind if they lost their own hair --- an attitude they learned from their mother.
