Wine Walk at the Zoo

Wine Walk at the Zoo

Posted: Updated:

Thursday was a nice night for a walk around the zoo, add in a little wine and it was an even better night.

The Greater Minot Zoological Society held its Annual Wild About Wines event.

The community was invited to come out to the Roosevelt Park Zoo for the wine tasting.

The event had food, entertainment, animals to view and of course wine.

Eight different wine stations were placed throughout the zoo, so no matter your preference of vino there was something for you.

The zoo's train was even used to take people from one section of the park to another, which was properly named the booze cruise.

Coordinator of the event Staci Kenney, says it's a great event to have and it closes up the year for GMZS.

All of the money made from the event goes directly back to the Zoo.

(Staci Kenney, Coordinator, GMZS) "This is huge for us because obviously we have come along way since the flood but every dollar that we get goes to not only rebuilding these structures but also rebuilding new exhibits and all of that."

Kenney says the zoo plans on continue the tradition next year.
