The list of candidates is getting smaller for the interim chancellor position.
North Dakota State Board of Higher Education has cut its list down to three potential candidates.
Those three finalists are former Fargo mayor Bruce Furness, former commerce commissioner Shane Goettle of Mandan and Larry Skogen the acting interim chancellor and president of Bismarck State College.
After video interviewing six semi-finalists yesterday the board decided on the aforementioned trio.
Follow up interviews will now be conducted.
The goal is to have the final decision by September 25th, higher education board meeting in Bismarck.
