KX Fall Outdoor Sports Show

KX Fall Outdoor Sports Show

Posted: Updated:

Vendors can begin to pack up as the KX Fall Sports Show has just ended.

It may have only been the first year but the event gained a lot of momentum with a large turnout today.

The two day show provided a place for hunters, fishers, campers or outdoor enthusiasts, a place to get ideas for their hobby or profession.

Not to mention fun for the whole family, with games and a duck pond for the kids.

Coordinator of the event, Stephanie Stevens, believes having Sports shows in the Fall and the Spring is a great way to demonstrate some of the activities the state has to offer.

(Stephanie Stevens, Coordinator, KX Sports Show) "We are teaching everyone everything we can about North Dakota's great outdoors. With the Game and Fish Department being heavily involved as well as the North Dakota Parks and Rec. this is an opportunity for people to learn all kinds of things about North Dakota's great outdoors before the hunting season really kicks in next weekend."

(Pat Lothspeiche, North Dakota Game and Fish) "This trailer kind of targets the population or the people who actually get out in the field and hunt and fish and boat... it's a good way to connect with those people who are hunting, fishing, trapping and boating."

In all, 52 vendors were on display, from fish houses, to pontoons and boats, ATV's, UTV's, campers, and other different machines.

But it wasn't all large products, taxidermy, energy drinks and dog training were are also on display and glad to be a part of the sports show.

(Carrie Bush, Owner, Ambush Kennels) "I think it's important to the community because all of these different booths and different businesses and things like that may not have an outlet or be able to contact all the different people that are out there now. It tends to bring people who are interested in the same types of things together."

(Beverly Olson, Distributor, Vemma) "I think it's awesome. Anytime you can get people together and to see what everyone else has to offer is super."

Next years KX Fall Sports Show will be Friday and Saturday on the same weekend.
