MSU Players Pitch In

Posted: Updated:

It was a team effort from the community today rebuilding Christ Lutheran Church.

Part of that effort was from members of the MSU basketball team.

Some of the players from the team helped to move new pews into the church.

The church is rebuilding most of its building after the 2011 flood.

Augustana Church recently joined with Christ Lutheran, when its church was destroyed in the flood.

Pastor David Maxfield says its been a long journey but with the help of those in Minot, it's become a good journey.

(David Maxfield, Pastor, Christ Lutheran Church) "It's a truly remarkable and untold story of the generosity and the compassion human spirit that thrives here. We take care of each. To have the basketball team take time from their academic work from this semester, it's truly a deep gift of gratitude that we have."

Pastor Maxfield hopes the sanctuary will be complete in October.
