Adoptable Dogs at Shaggy Shuffle

Posted: Updated:

You should meet some of the dogs currently at the Central Dakota Humane Society.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes are ready to be adopted into a loving home.

Around five pooches took part in the Humane Society's annual fundraiser--the Shaggy Shuffle at the capitol.

Dog lovers brought their pets for a nice long walk--while volunteers with the humane society showed off some of their favorite featured pets who are in need of a home.

Workers say you can get a lot out of adopting a dog from a shelter.

"It's so important to remember that the ones that are, they have no one, and they are, it almost seems like they know when you adopt them, they're so grateful and they just have so much love to give that we want to give them a second chance for their forever homes." says Mandy Schaaf, Central Dakota Humane Society.

If you are interested in seeing any of the cats and dogs at the shelter, you can call them 667-2020 Tuesday through Saturday.
