Several law enforcement officers raced across this part of the state today - in hot pursuit of a vehicle that was going well over 100 miles per hour at times.
The chase began after a fender-bender near Minot.
The driver of the second car in that accident called police and said the man had taken off.
The ensuing chase headed west on Highway Two and continued across Ward County into Mountrail County at Stanley.
Then, the vehicle turned south on Highway Eight headed for New Town.
But the driver ditched his vehicle about ten miles south of Stanley and ran into a tree row to hide.
24-year-old Joseph Bad Hawk of New Town was picked up and brought to Minot and is in the hospital tonight.
He is facing two felony counts and two misdemeanor charges in connection with the incident.
