Father Gets to Be with Daughter on Wedding Day

Posted:

Where there's a will there's a way...

even on your wedding day.

Alicia Holzer is walking down the isle tomorrow afternoon and wants nothing more than for her dad to be with her.

When going over locations for the wedding, she was concerned about transportation and care for her dad.

That's when the idea came to her ...to have her wedding at the Sanford Health Care Center in Mandan.

"That was the solution. This is his home. This is his family now. This has been his home and they take such good care of him. This is where it should be. And for them to say yes was just, I can't even say how much of a relief it was," says Alicia Holzer, Bride.

Alicia was also happy she gets to have the reception there too.

The residents even made all of the decorations.

Her dad says he is very pleased to be able to be a part of his daughter's special day.

"I know I won't see her as much as I did. She's is the only one around here that I can count on," says Aloys Holzer, Father of the Bride.

"It'll be wonderful and it's tears of joy. That's all it is is tears of joy to have him with me," says Alicia.

Aloys got to try on his tux for the wedding today and says he's excited to show it off at the wedding tomorrow.
