MSU Block Party is Saturday

Posted: Updated:

Minot State University is extending a birthday invitation to the whole community as it kicks off its centennial homecoming this Saturday.

Minot Young Professionals is sponsoring the Community Block Party that comes complete with an entire afternoon's worth of activities for the whole family.

Some highlights of the afternoon include bounce houses, campus tours, music from the MSU band and free lunch and cupcakes in the early afternoon.

The Minot Air Force Base Honor Guard will take part in a 2:00 centennial ceremony and coronation will follow at 3:00.

One University says this particular homecoming is a chance for everyone to take part in a once in a lifetime celebration.

(Teresa Loftesnes, MSU Director of Marketing)"The entire region is invited to come for families, parents, grandparents, alumnus, anyone in the community. We want them to come and celebrate with us because it's only one time where we get to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Minot State."

The block party is this Saturday.

Festivities begin at noon and run until 4 on the lawn of Old Main.

All campus lots are available for parking including the former Ramstad school parking lot.
