Men Accused of Conspiracy to Commit Murder Plead Not Guilty

Posted: Updated:

A case that went from a missing person investigation to a murder investigation is now moving toward trial.

Theo Crowe and Joshua Clark are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, a AA felony.

They pleaded not guilty in Burleigh County Court Tuesday morning.

The men are accused of killing 18 year old John Swain in Bismarck.

Swain had gone missing in May.

The men were linked to Swain's death a month and a half later after a homeowner found suspicious items.

Swain's body was later found buried in Crowe's grandmother's backyard in Poplar, Montana.

Crowe and Clark face life in prison.
