JZ Trend Academy Shares Hugs

Posted:

The JZ Trend Academy is embracing the chance to spread a little kindness.

It's their fifth annual Paul Mitchell Schools' Free Hugs Day.

Future professionals from 100 Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools across the nation are hitting the streets to spread the love.

Students and staff from JZ Trend Academy along with their sparkly, bright colored signs, surround downtown Bismarck street corners and offer hugs to everyone passing by.

Paul Mitchell School's cofounder, Winn Claybaugh, says not only are they in the business to make people look beautiful, but it's a part of their culture to help people feel beautiful.

"There's times they were giving hugs to people that, you know we had one person last year that hadn't had a hug in two years since her husband passed away. So you come up and give them a hug and it's just part of the Paul Mitchell culture," says Arnie Zahn, Owner of JZ Trend Academy.

Free Hugs Day was inspired by the Sick Puppies YouTube music video about Juan Mann's popular Free Hugs Campaign.
