This year's Norsk Høstfest will be the first since the death of the festival's founder, Chester Reiten.
Tuesday night's opening ceremony of the Høstfest will honor Chester and his "Army of Volunteers".
The event takes about 4,000 volunteers to get it up and running.
Some of them never even get the opportunity to enjoy the festivities because they are too busy working.
Tuesday night, at the Great Hall of the Vikings, will be a way to say thank you to those selfless volunteers.
Frank Sinatra Jr will be performing along with the Minot Symphony Orchestra - and there are two free tickets available for any one who has ever volunteered for the Høstfest.
The catch is, that you have to pick up your tickets in advance at the Høstfest office because there's a limited supply.
Executive Director, Pam Davy, says Chester Reiten was the greatest volunteer of all.
(Pam Davy, Executive Director, Hostfest) "Well Chester was a big guy with a big personality. A great leader, a dynamic leader. No body cared more about volunteers and recognized the contribution of volunteers more than Chester."
Reiten founded Norsk Høstfest in 1978.
