Norwegian Leaders Visit North Dakota's Bakken

Posted:

Norwegian leaders are in North Dakota touring the Bakken.

This week they've been traveling the state to visit the oil patch and meet with higher education officials and state leaders.

This afternoon the Norwegian leaders listened to a presentation on the Bakken given by Lynn Helms.

Norway's Consul General says it's exciting to see the heart and lungs of the Bakken field.

<<"From having been an exclusively off shore oil nation we are now on shore and we are learning the fracking business and how to do that very much from our experience here in North Dakota so to be here is very important for Norway and North Dakota has become a big energy player so are we, so we're here to shake hands," Consul General of Norway, Jostein Mykletun said.>>

The Norwegian leaders will conclude their visit to North Dakota tonight, with a dinner hosted by Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem.
