Coffee, yogurt, batteries and more -- much more.  It's all coming to Bismarck -- in this week's Around Town.

"Coffee changes lives," says Jeff Brown, Co-Owner, Terra Norte, which is why one Bismarck family decided to get in the business of coffee.

It's called Terra Norte, which the Browns say they chose because it means "Northland."  The new Bismarck coffee roastery specializes in small batch, artisan coffee roasted on-site.  They share a coffee fact you may not know:  "The lighter roasts have more caffeine.  The longer you roast it, the darker the roast, the less caffeine it has, because it cooks off during the roasting process."

You can check-out that roasting process in-person at 2211 East Main.  To know when, go to their Facebook page -- facebook.com/terranortecoffee -- where they post shout outs.

A brand new plaza on Burnt Boat Drive in front of Texas Road House is bringing eight new businesses to Bismarck.  One of those new stores is Orange Leaf Yogurt.  Orange Leaf says people love them not just for their frozen yogurt -- with flavors like gingerbread, coffee and honeydew -- but because of their cool -- spoons.

For more information on the store, go to orangeleafyogurt.com.

The other new store is Batteries Plus Bulbs.  They'll be selling 600 different replacement batteries for laptops, cell phones, power tools, auto and marine, as well as 600 types of light bulbs.  You can find more information on this store at batteriesplus.com.

Hay Creek Shops -- coming to Highway 83 and 43rd Avenue, just north of the North Walmart.  The plaza will offer 283,000 square feet of retail space, with 17 spots, small to large.
The developer says he'll be able to confirm committed retailers coming to Hay Creek Shops next week.
