Inside the El Rancho Hotel in Williston -- you'll find a little something new...we'll it's not really little you might say. Stretching over almost 12 thousand square feet is the new Williston Brewing Company. A group of midwestern investors opened the business after one made a trip up from South Dakota to check out the Bakken...and this seemed like a perfect opportunity.

(Dennis Pacifico - Williston Brewing Company) "We are in the NW so we wanted to stay rustic. Obviously beer is the king so we wanted a huge selection. We wanted it to be big and we want it to be nice but not fancy. Not too nice or too contemporary. We went with a look we call polished rustic."

Pacifico calls Williston Brewing Company and its 100 beer offerings upper scale...yet still casual. You can buy an inexpensive wine...or one costing thousands of dollars here. But kids are welcome as well...and they have a large menu with many offerings

(Dennis Pacifico - Williston Brewing Company) "We are in the NW so this is a meat and potatoes type of place. We offer lots of steaks and chops but we also wanted to have burgers and pizzas...that is a big focus. We have artisan pizzas."

Williston Brewing Company is open now.

In Minot on Main Street you'll find a dream come true... Brittany Pittinger says she's hoped to open her own business for years...and now with Uptown's Finest, she's done that. Uptown's Finest is located inside of Beautiful U Day Spa.

(Brittany Pittenger - Uptown's Finest) "We are a ladies boutique. We specialize in fashion tops and bottoms and accessories for children to middle aged women."

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
