Bismarck Police Investigate Additional Home Intrusions

Posted:
Bismarck, ND -

Bismarck Police are investigating another home intrusion case.

It happened early this morning in an apartment on Memorial Highway in Bismarck.

Police say a 27 year old woman woke up to find a man in her bedroom.

She confronted him and he left.

The man did steal money from the home.

Police say the apartment door was unlocked.

Officer Pat Renz reminds people to lock their doors, especially at night.

He says it is not a good idea to confront an intruder.

Renz says if you know someone is in your home, be as quiet as possible and dial 9-1-1.

He says even if you don't say anything, officers will respond to an open 9-1-1 call, which would help officers get to the homes sooner and catch the suspect.

There were two other similar incidents that happened in Bismarck Saturday morning.

Police in Bismarck and Mandan are also investigating two home burglaries that happened Tuesday when residents were not at home.

Cash, prescription drugs and a DVD player were stolen out of an apartment in the 100 block of east Bismarck Expressway.

That burglary happened Tuesday afternoon between 3:30 and 5:30.

Also on Tuesday, Mandan Police were called to investigate a burglary into a home on the 600 block of 3rd Street SW.

Someone broke a window to gain entry into the residence and stole $1600 in electronics equipment.
