Five-million-dollars has been set aside for flood repair reimbursements.
The latest round of Community Development Block Grants will be distributed directly to homeowners.
A homeowner can receive up to $10,000 with proof of flood home repairs.
According to Housing and Urban Development regulations, 51 percent of the five-million must go to low to moderate income households.
Applications will be accepted from October 14 to December 31.
The money will be distributed after the application period is closed to meet HUD requirements.
Duplication of benefits will be considered.
Applicants will need to have receipts, SBA, FEMA, BND and sales tax rebate information to qualify.
(Cindy Hemphill, Minot City Finance Director) "What we look at is your total need was. Say your damages were $50,000 and you got $30,000 from FEMA and you didn't get any additional funds, you still would have about $20,000 that would be eligible for potential reimbursement."
Again, applications will be accepted starting Monday through December 31.
The application is online at www.minotreimb.com. (
