Zombie Run

Zombie Run

Posted: Updated:

Zombies took over Oak Park today for the second annual Zombie run in Minot - and this wasn't your average 5k.

Runners had the option of coming dressed as zombies, or in their best apocalypse survival gear.

But either way, everyone was chased by participants dressed as the human-hungry walking dead.

These chase stations were placed throughout the park, making it quite a trek for all the runners.

The goal was to get by all the "zombies" without them being able to snatch your red flag.

And after the run, a chiropractic team came in to give free massages.

(Brigette Geary, Event Coordinator) "Really, it's just a 5k for everyone to get out and have fun before winter sets in. With the Walking Dead and all the fun zombie things that have been out lately, we thought it would be fun to do in Minot. Everyone seems to be having a good time, and hopefully they're not too scared!"

Proceeds from today's Zombie Run are going to local charities.
