New, Upscale Digs Available in Mandan -- But Only if You're "55 or Better"

Posted: Updated:

You don't have to cook or clean -- and if you want, you can play cards or watch movies all day.  But there's a catch.

You must be "55 or better," as Edgewood likes to say, to live here.  The newest Edgewood Vista assisted living opens today in Mandan.

It has the look and feel of an upscale hotel.

Amenities include a state-of-the art screening room, game room, library, fitness center, spacious dining hall, a beauty shop and lots of areas to relax.  There are 72 apartments, but construction begins soon on phase two.

"Twenty years ago, you didn't even know about the term 'assisted living,' and what we're doing, we're finding, is people stay at home as long as they can, and then they come to us later, and then they are able to enjoy independence longer here, because again, they don't have to drive.  They don't have to do the grocery shopping.  If they fall, we have staff to assist them off the floor instead of waiting for their daughter across town to come and pick them up," says Reva Kautz, Marketing Director, Edgewood Vista.

Edgewood is located on the West end of McKenzie Drive in Mandan.  They invite you to give them a call if you're interested in learning more -- or for a private tour -- at 701-751-5300.

But again, you have to be "55 or better."
