Well, it's getting colder by the day, and what's better for a chilly fall night, than a bowl of chili?
The YMCA and Souris Valley United way have paired up for the 5th year in a row to get together with local businesses and enjoy a warm cup.
Each business that came brought their own homemade chili and toppings for the public to come and try out, and vote for who's was the best.
And the winning business gets a free retreat at next summer's Y camp, for employees and their families.
Russell Gust says that this is a great way for Minot to come together and enjoy a Friday night for a good cause.
(Russell Gust, Event Coordinator) "You're contributing to the community, but at the same time, you're engaging with each other, you're having fun, tasting some good chili, and gathering as a community. So it's kind of a different way to contribute, other than just donating money."
All the money raised is being divided between Souris Valley United Way, and YMCA Youth Programming.
