One Minot recreational area has a new look after some Minot organizations fulfilled their mission of planting hope.
The Minot Area Community Foundation, Minot Park District, and Rotary clubs all came together today to plant 100 trees in Centennial Park.
The volunteers planted the trees alongside the road that runs through the park.
The project is also a part of Minot State University's initiative to complete service projects based on the "100" theme.
Minot Area Community Foundation President, Ken Kitzman, says the project is right on time with the arrival of new developments and families in the area.
(Ken Kitzman, Minot Area Community Foundation President)"As expansion happens, this can be their park too and it's a little closer for them to go to. This has so much potential now and so many good uses that we can put this too."
This is the second time the organizations have pitched in together.
Last year they held a grass seed project is the valley.
