If you spent the past week in Kenmare, your days consisted of good food, reuniting with old friends, and hunting geese for the 25th annual Goosefest.
Every year at the end of October, people come from all over the US to hunt at the peak migration of snow geese.
Besides hunting the birds, there was a week long schedule of entertainment, including live bands and 52 thousand dollars worth of door prizes.
All these things draw quite the crowd, but Jerry Essler says that what brings people back is spending a week with people they now only see during Goosefest.
(Jerry Essler, Goosefest Participant) "It's kind of like a homecoming. A lot of these guys come back that are originally from here, or their parents were from here, and they come back to hunt and see friends again and just have a fun week out here."
