Business Gets Rehab Award

Posted: Updated:

One business' efforts to give back to the community have not gone unnoticed.

Gooseneck Implement is a 2013 recipient of the North Dakota Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Regional Employer of the Year Award.

The award recognizes businesses that have made significant strides in working with individuals experiencing illnesses or injuries.

Gooseneck Implement Centers in the region have worked with Vocational Rehabilitation to allow those enrolled in the program the opportunity to job shadow, intern or work at Gooseneck.

Both entities have worked together to provide these opportunities.

(Teresa King, Gooseneck Implement-Minot)"It's important that we give back to our community and we want to establish strong ties and are always looking for different resources for hiring talented people."

(Brenda Vennes, ND Division of Vocational Rehabilitation)"They've worked with a lot of our students in their internship programs and work experience, job coaching, things like that. And then in turn, they may be able to get a job with Gooseneck.

Additional awards were given to other businesses across the state for their efforts as well.
