Leaf Law

Posted: Updated:

If you find yourself dealing with a blanket of leaves on the ground, the city of Minot wants to remind you those leaves

don't belong on the street.

City officials are asking property owners to be aware that it is not legal to push leaves onto the street.

The leaves can clog city storm sewers and cause water backup if there is a rain or snow melt.

The city asks that you mulch your leaves and leave them on your property, or collect the leaves and dump them in one of the several yard waste collection locations around town.
