It's a week that is designed to stress the importance of making good choices -- and making those choices all the time.
It's Red Ribbon Week at Minot's Central Campus.
Students have taken part in different activities throughout the week pushing home the message that drugs and bullying are things to avoid -- and being welcoming is preferred!
Ericka Larson is a sophomore student council member.
She says the last few school years have seen many new students coming to Minot...and they are working hard to make them feel at home.
(Ericka Larson - Minot High School Sophomore) "There has been quite a bit of effort. We try to have nobody sit alone at lunch so that is helping with the new students. Student Council did this thing where you mix it up at lunch and where you sit with new people and there are cards on the table so you can have a discussion at the table."
Today being Halloween it is 'Boo to Drugs and Bullying' day at Central.
Students were encouraged to wear orange and black -- and purchase some extra treats today with the proceeds going toward a classmate who is battling illness this year.
