Dickinson State University President Talks About Accreditation

The higher learning commission has removed the "on notice" notation on Dickinson State University's accreditation.

For the last two years the school has been "on notice," after the school was accused of giving diplomas to foreign exchange students who did not earn them.

The school also was accused of padding enrollment numbers.

President of DSU, D.C. Coston says this is great news for the University, especially since enrollment numbers are down significantly this school year.

<<"I think undoubtedly the on notice designation did probably affect our enrollment, we intend to be sure that students in our region along with the people who influence those students that Dickinson State is fully credited and is a great place to go to school," President of Dickinson State University, D.C. Coston said.>>

Coston was hired after the former president was let go in 2011.
