Voters in several other area school districts will also be deciding on proposed bond sales in the next month or so.
In Kenmare, the election is scheduled for two weeks from today - November 19th. Kenmare voters will decide if the district should raise 14 million dollars to construct a new gymnasium and several classrooms. The additions would bring all students in the Kenmare district into one building.
Voters in the South Prairie district, south of Minot, will vote December 3rd on a 12 million dollar plan to expand their Kindergarten- through- 8th grade school to include grades nine through 12 as well.
In Westhope, voters will decide on December 9th if their school should spend more than four million dollars for renovations and additions to the school building.
And the next day, on December 10th, Minot School residents will be asked to approve borrowing up to 125 million dollars for new buildings, including a second high school for the city.
There is a public forum tonight at 6:30 at the Vegas Motel in Minot where Superintendent Mark Vollmer will answer questions about the expansion plans for the district.
