John Deere Dealership Expands

Posted:

A John Deere Dealership gets a major overhaul.

Green Iron Equipment in Napoleon has a new look--including a state of the art showroom.
The building more than doubles the size of the old store--totaling 31-thousand square feet.
Along with a bigger building, Green Iron is also building a bigger staff.

(Chris Weigel / Green Iron Equip. Manager) "Employee wise we are at 28 employees, a year ago we were down in the middle, upper teens. The amount of business that we are doing has doubled. We are doing this for the customer. if a farmer calls and we need to service, get the parts out to him, we also need to treat the next guy coming through the door for sales too."

Adding more employees, also means adding more people to the community.

(Chris Weigel / Green Iron Equip. Manager) "With the new guys that we hired we added 10 new students to Napoleon school, just with those new employees that we got. Napoleon school is not that big the way that it is, adding 10 new students is huge."

Weigel says they would like to start another expansion in the shop area this spring.
