Napoleon FFA Team Wins National Title

A local FFA Chapter earns some major bragging rights.
Ag Reporter Sarah Gustin has some highlights from the National FFA Convention.

(Nicollette Bitz / Ag Sales Team) "It was really crazy. it was just insane to think that we were competing against all the other state champions and so it wasn't just one of those things where you could count out a couple of the teams. We knew that everyone was going to be at their best and we knew that we had to step it up a level in order to win."
(Bailey Bitz / Ag Sales Team) "I was really, really nervous because you know that everyone else already won their states and they are the top out of their states and so this is a big competition, you only get one shot at this, this is my last As Sales competition ever. I was really, really nervous. But you just got to study hard and go for it.
(Brian Schneider / Napoleon FFA Advisor) "I thought the team had a very good chance at winning the national even tor being in the top 5, but once you get that level. You just never know. These girls are truly amazing."
And truly amazing they are....
The Napoleon FFA Team recently took top honors at the National FFA Convention in the Ag Sales Event.
These three high school girls along with their other team mate ,Jessica Long who is a freshman in college, earned 1st place team.
This is only the 3rd National Championship Team title a North Dakota Chapter has won.
(Katelyn Long) "The most memorable thing was when they announced team and our advisor went crazy, and we all wanted it so much and it was just really rewarding to be able to share it with everyone on the team and our advisor."
(Brian Schneider / Napoleon FFA Advisor)"It's a very rare occasion and for us to represent the state of North Dakota and do as well as we did shows what we do in Ag education and in FFA in North Dakota."
Along with high team, Napoleon also had the top individual in the contest.
(Bailey Bitz / Ag Sales Team) "They called teams first. So I already knew we won team, so at that point it wasn't as big of a deal to me who won. When they called my name, I was already crying, so I started crying more and I just couldn't believe that I won. "
Nicollette took 3rd..

North Dakota beat the 2nd place team Washington State by more than 30 points.
