Bismarck Man Hits Security Guard, Threatens Police at Walmart

Posted:

A 21 year old Bismarck man is in jail after he hit a security officer at Walmart and later threatened to kill Bismarck Police officers.

It all started at south Walmart in Bismarck.

Police say Anthony Olson left the store Thursday afternoon without paying for several items.

Olson is accused of hitting a loss prevention officer several times in the face after she confronted him for shoplifting.

He then took off to nearby Lesmeister Trucking and hid in a trailer and refused to exit.

Authorities say Olson threatened to throw knives at officers and kill them if they tried to get him out.

Officers were able to eventually get Olson to surrender.

They arrested him for robbery, terrorizing, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.

Olson was charged last week with possession of Lorazapan in Burleigh County.
