Veterans Day Pizza

Posted: Updated:

There are many ways to show support and gratitude toward our nation's veterans.

For a group of Roosevelt Plaza businesses that means offering a free pizza meal to those who have served our county.

The free pizza meal is this Monday from 11am to 1pm at the Roosevelt Plaza right across from Roosevelt Park Zoo.

Event coordinator, Duane Brekke, says all veterans are welcome and the goal is to serve at least 100.

(Duane Brekke, Pizza for Veterans Coordinator)"Just think how blessed we are and then we've got the Air Force Base out here and strong military connections between Minot and the military and I guess I feel very strongly about that."

Brekke says he was inspired to do the free pizza lunch for 100 veterans in lieu of Minot State University's service project initiative.

Again, the event is Monday from 11 am to 1 at Roosevelt Plaza.
