A 36-year-old Minot man was killed in a collision on Highway 23 yesterday morning.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports the man was traveling westbound in his pickup on Highway 23, 8 miles north of Douglas, when he collided head-on with a semi traveling in the eastbound lane at 11:35 am.
It is unknown why the pickup crashed into the semi in the eastbound lane.
A Montana man who was driving the semi was able to escape with minor injuries from his truck before it started burning.
The pickup driver died at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
