Applebee's Gives Free Meals to Vets

Posted: Updated:

Those who put their lives on the line to serve America, will be treated to a free meal by America's Neighborhood Grill for veterans day.

Applebee's doors open at 11 and veterans can come in at any time to receive their meal.

Anyone who has served or is currently serving can dine on a a choice of seven different meals ranging from a steak dinner to a large salad.

One employee is excited to spend the day with local veterans and show his appreciation.

(Michael Kleen, Applebee's Manager) "Our people enjoy working for it. It's a great day. We're just looking for a way - our company, Applebee's International - to really show our veterans what they mean to us. Their service, this is their special day and we just want to make sure that we give them an extra special touch."

Veterans need to show ID, and that can be anything from active duty or discharge papers or even a picture in uniform.
