Texas Bank Robber Caught in North Dakota

A wanted bank robber, on the run from Texas is captured in North Dakota.

39-year-old Tracy Maxey is charged in federal court with Bank Robbery.

According to federal court documents, Maxey held up the Comerica Bank in downtown Dallas, Texas.

These are pictures taken from surveillance video of the October 15th crime.

Court documents say Maxey went up to a teller, said "This is what I want you to do," and passed her a folded piece of paper.

Maxey told the bank employee he had a gun.

He got away with over $5,000.

Court records say fingerprints were lifted from the paper that connected Maxey to the case..

As for how he was captured here in North Dakota.

Prosecutor David Hagler says Maxey was arrested in Mountrail County in North Dakota after authorities there responded to a fire.

Several calls into the FBI and local authorities have not been returned.
