More Resources Likely Needed In Western North Dakota

Governor Jack Dalrymple is beginning to look into some of the latest needs emerging in western North Dakota since the legislature adjourned in May.

Dalrymple says it's very important to keep up with what is happening in the western part of the state.

He says the legislature did a good job last session by providing $2.6 billion to western communities, but those communities continue to grow.

<<"The needs are ever changing and certain areas like around Watford City have had much more drilling activity much more population growth than was even the case last winter, so we have to keep up with these changing needs, we've been meeting with mayors, county commissioners and we're trying to keep right up to the minute with what people are facing," Governor Jack Dalrymple said.>>

He did not mention anything about a Special Legislative session.

He says he will continue to monitor western communities and decide if there are any other ways to get additional resources to those western cities.
