Basin Electric Celebrates LIVE UNITED Day

Posted: Updated:

Today is LIVE UNITED Day, as designated by Governor Jack Dalrymple, and it recognizes volunteers and donors across the State.

In 2012, North Dakota United Ways raised over $9.6 million to support agencies addressing issues affecting communities.  Locally, the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way raised $2 million and provided funding to 34 agencies.

One local company says they don't even have to promote United Way.  Employees just enjoy participating.

"Everybody who works at Basin wants to give back. They really do.  They're part of the community.  They're active in the community and they want to support the community.  We're all blessed right now, living here in this part of the country in the great State of North Dakota.  We're all blessed," says Andy Serri, CEO, Basin Electric Power Cooperative.

For more information on how you or your business can get involved, visit www.msaunitedway.org or www.facebook.com/msauway.  You can also call 701-255-3601.
