Defensive Driving Class

Posted: Updated:

With the continuing growth in the Minot area and snow on the way, safety on the road is becoming more and more of an important topic.

The Adult Learning Center on 4th avenue is holding monthly classes on defensive driving, and how to avoid common mistakes behind the wheel.

Along with focusing on general driving skills, passing these nationally credited courses can put points back on your drivers license, and lower insurance premiums after a speeding ticket or accident.

An instructor of the class suggests anyone should take the class because being prepared for an accident is the best way to avoid one.

(Gary Orluck, ND Safety Council) "It's important because driving is an everyday part of our lives. And no matter what the road conditions are, it might be winter time, summer time, raining, snowing, or whatever, just being reminded of the changes that can occur when you're driving."

To learn more, or participate in the class, visit the ND Safety Council online.
