Former Bobcat Hockey head coach Chad Johnson is killed after being hit by a train in Fargo...

Fargo Police say Chad Johnson of Fargo died Monday night after being hit by a train in an industrial area of Fargo.

Johnson is a former Bobcat hockey coach in Bismarck, who left to be an assistant coach for the Fargo Force hockey team.

Johnson most recently was head coach of the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League.

He was a UND hockey player in the 1990's.

BNSF Railway train crew reported seeing a body near the railroad tracks in the 4200 block of Main Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Johnson's vehicle was found nearby.

BNSF crews are assisting police in the investigation and video of the railroad tracks may be available.

BNSF says Johnson wasn't killed anywhere near a designated crossing.
