Work is underway at the Thunder Butte Petroleum Refinery site near Makoti.
Crews are moving dirt for the first phase of the Three Affiliated Tribes' $450 million dollar facility.
Dirt moving crews are making way for the transload facility which should be complete in June.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 8th, but Chief Executive Officer Rich Mayer says the physical work started after the engineering phase was complete.
The plant will have the capacity to process up to 20,000 barrels of Bakken crude per day into diesel fuel and other products and will create as many as 100 full-time jobs.
